Gosh I really had to stop and think about the question is it harder as a walk-in. Being a walk-in is hard unto itself but I think it might be insulting to all those who know how hard it is to ascend in general to make any assumptions that it is even harder as a walk-in. You spend a lot of time sorting when you are a walk-in because the emotions you have get so twisted up between what are your actual experiences have been and what emotions are compounded by experiences of the previous soul. Plus when you walk-in you agree to take on the stuff of the previous soul's experience, so in a sense it is yours too. it can get really complicated but then sorting out your life experiences if you've been in body all along is complicated and messy unless you had the absolute perfect parents, family, and friends which no one does. I think it is kind of unusual for a walk-in to be on an actual ascension path because most walk-ins leave the family situation and go off and do whatever they came to do. To ascend having walked away from your "old" life I think would be almost insurmountable. You really need to allow the people in your family or close friends to reflect to you the things you are healing. No one is better at that than family since in one form or another they have the same issues. I've seen how hard it is to walk away, as I have one good friend who had no choice but to walk away from his family of origin because of the extreme alcohol and drug problems they had that often led to abusive situations. He really struggles to heal the family dysfunction he carries without being able to express any of the things going on inside him with that family where the pain started. I have worked with him writing letters and burning them and things of that nature and that helps but he has a tendency to go into denial. He goes though periods where he thinks if he just ignores it, it will not exist for him and then something will come up that insists that he see and it will bring him out of that denial, but he often then returns to it making his path very slow.
