So what do you think?  Will it be a winter from hell?  and if so, where.  NW, SW, MID WEST, NE, S, or??   What about Europe?  China?   Russia?

This is an update for the CA area.

All areas in the San Joaquin Valley need to prepare immediately for a very cold winter ahead.  I have reason to believe that the arctic blasts that come into the region will be severe.  Last year this was not looking like the case at this time for the 2009-2010 season and so that was the case as no arctic blasts hit.

However this year is a whole new ballgame we are dealing with as the blocking ridge in the Pacific will be a common sight and we will have numerous arctic fronts into the Western United States.

All farmers in the Southern California area are being warned of a very cold winter up ahead so you can either take the warning or leave it.  Either way this winter will be very cold, possibly near or at record levels in spots, especially in Montana.
